We develop 35mm, 120, 220, and 110 film formats and can process Black and White, Color Negative, and Slide/E6 film.

Can you develop old film?

Yes! We develop lots of old film. Old or expired film will not develop at the same quality level as new film, so expect some decay in the image quality. Here’s an article about developing old film that can help give you more information.

Can you develop Kodak Disc Film?

No, its a difficult format to work with and its age very rarely yields good results

Can you develop digital disposable cameras?

No. Those require proprietary connections and software.

How long does it take for you to develop my film?

Our lead times change depending on the time of year. Please email us at info@shutterjunkies.org to get an up to date estimate.

How do we contact you?

Email is the best way to reach us. You can go to our Contact Us page and send us a message or email us directly at info@shutterjunkies.org

What’s your phone number so I can call you?

We no longer use the phone as a customer communication tool. There are a few reasons for this but we were receiving constant phone calls and could not get any work done. We still want to hear from you, but we ask that you please contact us at info@shutterjunkies.org.

What’s the difference between Basic, Standard, and Advanced scans?

Basic scans are perfect if you’re sharing your images online and with family and friends through text or social media. They are good for printing smaller prints, like 4x6’s and 5x7’s.

Advanced scans are higher in resolution and work better when printing larger sized photos as well as provide more image data if you’re going to be zooming and cropping or editing your images after you download them.

Do you provide status updates?

No, we do not provide status updates as your film moves through our system. Updating customer order progress is so time consuming we would never get anything else done. You can email us at info@shutterjunkies.org at any time to check on your order and we will be glad to let you know how things are going!

What’s your turn-around time?

It varies. Film is a very slow process. We work in a lab type environment with tight controls on quality and a focus on providing the best possible images we can to our customers. This take time and we ask that you be patient. Just because we don’t email you doesn’t mean that we destroyed your film or that we are a scam, it just means that we are working as hard as we can to get everything right so that your memories can be preserved forever!

When we send you your order receive confirmation, we will include an expected turn-around time for your order.

I sent you an email, why haven’t you responded?

Give us a couple of days - we get a lot of emails with all sorts of questions. Most messages take a little bit of time and research and we answer messages in the order they were received. If you don’t hear back from us in a couple of days, please email again or message us on Facebook or Instagram to make sure we get the message. Please also always include your name and order number so we can find your order faster.
